UNDERWOOD MINERS WELFARE CRICKET CLUB has been at the heart of our village since 1894.
We are a sports organisation dedicated to being a fun and friendly environment in which everyone has the opportunity to take part in a game of cricket, either as a player or as a spectator.
The club has three senior teams, two playing on Saturday in divisions E and L of the South Notts Cricket League and one on a Sunday in Section 1 of the Mansfield and District Cricket League. We train on Tuesdays at the ground from April onwards, and prior to that we have indoor training on Thursday evenings. So whatever your skill level, come along to our beautiful ground and join in with us. Please email us or give us a call on 07999 625888 for details.
Games usually start at 1.00pm, and all the home fixtures are listed on the gate. The Miners Welfare is only across the road so why not have a pint and watch the cricket - or you're welcome to bring a picnic. A cuppa is always available from the club on match days and at our practice sessions!
